Lyrics

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
- Psalm 63:1

The “answers” to LIFE cannot be FOUND
In things OF this world amongst the LIES that SURROUND
Despite the NOISE: there’s BEAUTY in the Here and Now
Set your eyes toward the Crown as the trials surmount

As the guilt and shame attempts to drag us DOWN
He calls us by Name (Isaiah 43:1) and His Love ABOUND (Philippians 1:9)
As the demons TRY to infiltrate: UP the Angels MOUNT
As We HOLD FAST n STAND Our GROUND: He THERE to CAST em OUT!

There used to be a time when I didn’t KNOW
That it was OK to “not” feel fine as to His Promise We HOLD
Sometimes… behind enemy lines we’re CALLED to GO
For the sake of the MISSION, His Kingdom, and Our Souls

When it feels like “all” HOPE is “lost”
And no matter how FAR off the path we’ve gone…
Just KNOW that Our Souls were Meant to LONG
FOR The ONE that PAID the COST

The enemy is NO match for the Power within us
God showed His Love by sending Christ, while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8)
We were NOT Made to Live IN fear,
FILLED with doubt, and to be timid
We WERE Made to be at PEACE, FILLED with JOY, and to Be WINNERS

I don’t know another way, but:
To REBUKE the LIES that made up
Give PRAISE and THANKS to Jesus who SAVED Us
I REFUSE to be a lame duck who is QUICK to change UP
As soon as the enemy TRIES with tactics that played OUT

To Him I’ll FOREVER Give PRAISE!!!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
- 1 Peter 1:3-5
